(9/21/00, 1 p.m. ET) - R&B singer/songwriter Montell Jordan is currently at work on his fifth album, the follow-up to last year's Get It On ... Tonite. The prolific artist has already recorded with some of the hottest acts, including LL Cool J, Redman, Masta P, and Silkk The Shocker, and has scored a hit with the tune "Incomplete," recorded by Sisqo. In addition, he was part of a multi-genre contingent of performers who traveled to Cuba in 1998 for the international Music Bridges program, where he composed tunes with the likes of Brenda Russell, Dave Koz, Bonnie Raitt, and others in collaboration with Cuban musicians.

Jordan tells LAUNCH that the new album, due next spring, will include a number of the same dance-floor-style grooves on which he's already built his reputation. "I'm going to make people dance again, plain and simple," he says. "They're gonna dance again. They danced from the first album with 'This Is How We Do It' and 'Something For The Honeys,' and they danced with 'I Like' on the second album, and they danced with 'Let's Ride' on the third album. On the fourth album, Get It On Tonite, they danced again, and one more time. I'm just gonna keep everybody dancing, feeling good."

Each of Jordan's four albums, 1995's This Is How We Do It, 1996's More, 1998's Let's Ride, and 1999's Get It On ... Tonite, has been certified either gold or platinum.
