Chris LeDoux Diagnosed With Liver Disease, Needs Organ Transplant

(9/27/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Chris LeDoux has been diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis, a liver disease without a known cause that often results in liver failure. The singer has been added to an organ donation list in preparation for a liver transplant, after which doctors expect a complete recovery.

LeDoux was recently hospitalized with a liver ailment, but returned to the road on September 15. He plans to fulfill all but two currently scheduled concert dates: Thursday's (September 28) show in San Dimas, California, and Saturday's (September 30) show in Red Bluff, California.

The singer released his 33rd album, Cowboy, on August 1.
